Hi, we have a huge amount of PDFs available for download. They all have cryptic names that lack context. Now we're looking for a solution/workaround to automatically insert the first 400 characters, for example, as a file description so that the customer can also recognize what the document contains.

Thanks for contacting us here about this extension.

While our WP File Download plugin doesn't currently support automatic PDF content extraction for descriptions,
we've added this to our planning list for future development.
The feature is technically complex, but we're investigating how we might implement it.

In the meantime, we recommend manually renaming your files or adding descriptions to your most frequently accessed documents as a temporary solution.
