Index document content with a full-text file search engine for WordPress

The WP File download full-text search engine can search not only in file titles or description, but also in the document content. On top of that, there's no impact on performance, the document content are pre-indexed on upload as a background task. To use this feature, just enable the “Plain text search” option then run the indexing.

This option will help you navigate the files’ target quickly when you are in the middle of hundreds category. File categories will be shown respecting the current user’s role file access limitations.

Date range picker is also another useful filter option that supports user in searching files. You can search for WP File Download files by Creation date and Update date. Note that all the filters are optional and can be activated per search engine instance.

Tags are another field needed for categorizing or filtering files, and are certainly indispensable for a large file database. You can apply one or several custom tags per file and then use them in the search engine as a tag search box with suggestion or as checkbox.

The file search engine results are instantly returned below the WP File download search form. From here, your visitors can make a quick preview of the files right away order the results by column.
