We upload 100s of images to our galleries. Sometimes those images need to be reordered. WordPress by default allows you to drag and drop one image at a time to rearrange the order. Using WP Media Folder is there a way to select multiple images at one time then drag them to rearrange the order of images in a gallery? I saw from one of your videos that you can select multiple images and drag them into a folder but wasn't sure if the images within a gallery could be reordered this way. If a handful of images are at the bottom and I need them to be displayed first or in the middle it nice to be able to select all of them at one time and drag them where they need to be instead of dragging them one at a time. Thanks for your help.

Yes, with WP Media Folder you can certainly bulk select media files and move them to different folders in your Media Library.
Regarding image ordering specifically, our plugin currently offers several ordering options including by date, title, custom order, or random arrangement.
However, the bulk drag-and-drop reordering within galleries that you're describing isn't available yet.

From my experience, WordPress's default media handling doesn't actually allow for individual image drag-and-drop reordering either - so you're not missing anything there.

How does the "Custom Order" option that you mentioned work? How are images arranged in a custom order?

The "Custom Order" option in WP Media Folder works through a simple drag-and-drop interface that lets you manually arrange your images exactly how you want them.
Here's how it functions:

In the Media Library:

When you select "Custom Order" as your sorting method, you can drag and drop your media files into your preferred sequence
This manual arrangement is saved and will be maintained when displaying these files

In Gallery Settings (with the Gallery Addon):

Similarly, you can select Custom Order in a specific gallery
Then drag and drop images to create your desired arrangement for that particular gallery

Once you've set up your custom order (either in the Media Library or in a specific Gallery's settings),
this arrangement will be displayed on your website's frontend exactly as you organized it.
