I'm interested in WP Media Folder and, after viewing some of your videos, have a few questions about the plugin.

a) When I add OneDrive, are the images between Media Library and OneDrive segmented? In other words, will WordPress recognize images by source?

b) Depending on the response to a), if I want all current Media Library files to sync, do I need to first move them to OneDrive?

c) If I disconnect OneDrive, what happens with the media files? Do the files stay where they are but stop syncing? Alternatively, are the embedded media links maintained? From a video the file URL displayed api.onedrive.com.

d) When new media files are added from OneDrive, does WordPress recognize these files as if they are in the Media Library? It is important that other functions, such as regeneration for thumbnails, can find these media files.

e) If activated, are folders created on Onedrive recognized as physical folders?

I appreciate the help. Given the return policy and my changing mind after testing it first, I am unable to purchase and try it out without a trial period.

Hi,

Thanks for contacting us here about this extension.

b) Depending on the response to a), if I want all current Media Library files to sync, do I need to first move them to OneDrive?

Once you connect your cloud account successfully, you'll see a separate folder tree for each cloud integration, such as Google Drive, Dropbox, and OneDrive.
Any files uploaded to the cloud folders from the Media Library will sync within that root folder in your cloud account, and the same happens in reverse.

c) If I disconnect OneDrive, what happens with the media files? Do the files stay where they are but stop syncing? Alternatively, are the embedded media links maintained? From a video the file URL displayed api.onedrive.com.

If you disconnect OneDrive, the files will still be on your cloud account but won’t appear in the Media Library.
You can import files to the Media Library before disconnecting if you'd like to keep them accessible.

d) When new media files are added from OneDrive, does WordPress recognize these files as if they are in the Media Library? It is important that other functions, such as regeneration for thumbnails, can find these media files.

It will recognize them just like local files. This means other functions, such as thumbnail regeneration, will be able to find these media files.

e) If activated, are folders created on Onedrive recognized as physical folders?

Our WP Media Folder plugin is designed to enhance the default WordPress media library by providing virtual folders for simpler media management.
This means you can’t change the actual folder where media files are stored on your server.
Instead, we just save the file information on your server without actually storing the files there.
