Sorry if this is a duplicate. We posted by mistake under Media Folder pre-sales questions category.

Hope someone can help us

If we set the files to preview only and we use the "open file in browser" then everyone can download the PDF regardless of the file protection settings as the download button shows as build in for Adobe PDF in browser viewing.

We cannot use the JoomUnited viewer as our files are larger than 10MB and not supported by JoomUnited viewer.

If we use Google viewer users with Edge browser are having issues previewing the files (reports of Chrome issues too)

I would like to know what do you recommend to solve this.

We are up for renewal of the license of the plugin and would like to keep working with you.

But we need to solve the problem or otherwise it makes no sense to have our files online in preview only mode if public users can download them anyway since in browser PDF is the only working previewing mode for now

Thanks for contacting us here about this extension.

I understand your concerns regarding file previews and the download functionality.

Currently, our WP File Download plugin supports the JoomUnited viewer for files under 10MB.
Since your files exceed this limit, you will need to use Google Previewer, which unfortunately includes a download feature that we cannot block.

To help resolve the issues, we suggest optimizing your file sizes. If you can reduce your PDF files to under 10MB,
you’ll be able to use the JoomUnited viewer, which provides better control over the download options.
