Sorting and filtering while managing a table

Can it be made possible to use sorting en filtering while managing a table in backend/frontend? Would be so much easier to use it with large tables

Currently, sorting and filtering can be done on the frontend, but it is not feasible to perform these actions on the backend.
Your request will be taken into consideration.
