AWS S3
Hi,
I'm looking for a solution to share/sync s3 buckets/files on a wordpress site and in case I have files over 5GB on AWS S3, will the user have any issue downloading them?
Thanks

#20247 Hi,
Thanks for getting back to me with more information.
It depends on your server's timeout limitations, as the download request will be sent to your server before reaching S3.
Additionally, please keep in mind that downloading files around 5GB may take some time.
Cheers,

My question is not concerning the integration but the size limitation. Does the limit applies from the hosting server ?

#20250 Hi,
Thanks for getting back to me with more information.
Files are stored on the S3 server, but the file URLs are rewritten by WP File Download.
This means that whenever you download or upload a file on the site, it makes a request to the S3 API, which doesn’t have any limits.
If you’re having trouble with large file downloads or uploads, it’s likely due to a limitation on your server side.
By the way, synchronization from S3 doesn’t impose any limits on large files either!
