Adding file statuses

Hello,
It will be nice to be able to identify files with Status. I will see three useful statuses:

• Featured
  
• New
  
• Updated
  

The status could be based on a number of days that we could enter in a new field Under Configuration ---> Main settings. The status would then be applied automatically based on the creation date for the status "New" and on the modification date for the status "Updated".
Featured status could be a check box under the file's settings.
The status would appear on the front panel as a button or text with different coloured backgrounds depending on the status.
